A Little About Me

I first discovered my passion for ancestry research in 2009. It all started when my husband looked at a family photo and asked if I had Native American ancestry. Curious, I called my father’s sister — and she confirmed that our grandmother was Native American.

I quickly gathered birth records, marriage certificates, and other documents and submitted them to the Tribe for verification. Some time later, I was honored to receive Tribal Citizenship status and identity cards. Since then, my son, sister, and many cousins have also been able to obtain their own Tribal Citizenship and IDs.

Over the years, I’ve traced my own family line back through centuries — from my son, born in the U.S. in 1997, all the way to my great-grandfather’s grandfather, born in 1665 in Pont-l’Abbé-d’Arnoult, France. Along the way, I’ve collected birth, marriage, and death certificates that tell the story of generations of lives lived across continents.

While much of my work has focused on tracing descendants from France to Canada to the United States, my roots — like many families’ — extend far beyond. Every family has a story waiting to be uncovered, and I would love to help you discover yours.
